GCSE

GCSE stands for General Certificate of Secondary Education. They are a set of exams, taken by students aged 14 -16 in Year 10 and 11. English, Maths and Science are compulsory for all students up the age of 15-16, but sitting the GCSE exams is not mandatory although most students do take them. A student’s grades in these exams can have a significant impact on the student’s future.

A-levels

A-Levels (Advanced Level qualifications) are subject-based qualifications that can lead to university, further study, or employment. They are typically taken over two years, starting at the age of 16. Most students take three A-levels, but more can be taken. A student’s A-level grades are normally the most important factor considered by universities in the UK and worldwide.

IB

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a two-year educational programme designed for students aged 16 to 19 and is offered in 140 countries worldwide. The programme provides an internationally accepted qualification for entry into higher education and is recognized by many universities around the globe.
